Our Daughter Blythe

Building a family through adoption has always been a lifelong dream of mine.  Through the love and support of Christian, "my dream" has grown into "our dream".  We are thrilled to be welcoming our third daughter into our loving family!

On September 24,  2010 after almost three years of waiting we were finally matched with our little girl.  In the orphanage they named her Yin Yijian ("Yin" for the city she is from, "Yi" means they wish for her to remember her hometown, and  "Jian" means they hope she can grow up healthy"). We plan to call her Blythe. Currently, she lives at the Social Welfare Center in Yiyang City in the Hunan Province. At eight months old they described her as an extroverted vivacious child who likes to play games with adults. We hope to travel to China to bring her home in late February. We are just waiting for our paperwork to be updated with the US Government.

Avery and Claire are very excited about their new sister. They already mention her on a daily basis. I can't wait to see the three of them playing together as sisters.

It amazes me that we only have three pictures of Blythe and four typed pages of information about her and already it's as though I have loved her my entire life.  I know without a shadow of doubt that she is my daughter and I am her mother.
